My boys are huge fans of Disney Pixar Cars. My oldest was just a baby when it came out, but we bought the DVD for him anyway and he quickly became a fan. Of course we were easily suckered into buying branded merchandise for him, and he continues to ask for new branded items almost eight years later.
My Mother-in-law recently took the two oldest boys to the movies to see Disney Planes. When they came home they had lots to tell me about the movie, their favorite scenes, and which characters they liked the most. When I
We didn't go directly home after our shopping trip. We went to my in-laws' house because we had planned on having dinner there. Regardless, the kids were excited to break out their new toys and play with them. We promptly opened them up and headed out side. The Disney Planes Pull & Fly Buddies are great for racing, and the kids couldn't wait to try them out. I took a short video of them in action.
My four year old likes to get creative with his play time. While my Father-in-law was setting up their new window A/C unit to combat this Southern California heat, my four year old grabbed a piece of the box and proceeded to turn it into a cool airport for his plane. He started with a runway, and built a bunch of buildings around it. It turned out pretty cool and I'm always impressed at his level of detail and concentration with just very basic wooden building blocks.
The next day they woke up still very excited to play with their new toys, so I broke out the car rug for them. They usually use it for their small racing car toys, but it has roads and an airport, so it works perfectly for Disney Planes toys and Disney Pixar Cars together.
It wasn't long before the baby wanted to get in on the action, scooping up the planes and stomping on the cars with his chubby little feet. Causing destruction is the only way he knows how to play with the big boy toys.
Big brothers don't exactly get a kick out of baby brothers ruining their play time, so Dad took them outside and they made a ramp to play on. They're always making ramps out of something. It must be a boy thing. They spent at least an hour outside that morning, so it was definitely fun.
We distracted the little guy with some stuffed Disney Pixar Cars that he loves to smash together, so everyone was happy!
If it's not evident that Disney Pixar Cars are popular in our house, here is my four year old's bed. He picked out a new sheet set that he liked a while ago, and we changed his room around a little bit from the previous look. One thing didn't change. He still sleeps with his Disney Pixar Cars storybook pillow that he's had since he was a baby. There is a lot of love for the World of Disney Pixar Cars in our home, and it looks like there's plenty of room to add some Disney Planes love in there too.
