It was a crappy feeling. All of the stress from my breastfeeding struggles (which I really haven't talked about at all) all of the mindless eating I did while on our trip, and of course the holiday meals, and the vacation indulging. Not to mention the lack of any kind of structured exercise. I really fell off the wagon hard.
I didn't bother crying about it, instead, the next day I got up and got started on a plan. I went grocery shopping, I mapped out a week's worth of food. I walked as much as possible, drank lots of water.
It's been a few weeks, but I've been keeping up pretty well. Making our meals 100% from scratch has helped out immensely. It is extremely hard for me to find the time to exercise, so I haven't been doing it. But that is my next step - to make time. It's not something I love to do, but I know eating well alone isn't going to get me to where I want to be.
Three weeks later I'm down 7 pounds. It's progress. Good progress, and I'll be doing all I can to continue.
