Family Movie Night With The Amazing Spiderman #Cbias #SpidermanWMT

Friday nights are generally pizza night at our house. Sometimes we make our own pizza from scratch, sometimes we get carry-out, and other times we pick up a frozen pizza from the store. This time we tried something new by picking up a Marketside pizza from Walmart to enjoy while we had a Spider-Man themed family movie night. There was a lot to choose from, but ultimately we decided on a Five Cheese and a Supreme.

While we were there we also walked around to find specially-marked signs that helped us unlock special comic scenes on the Web Slinger Augmented Reality App which is available on iTunes or Google Play. Look for the signs near the entrance, registers and in the section where DVDs and Blu-rays are sold.

When we got home I spruced up our cheese pizza a little bit to really get into the spirit of the Spider-Man theme. The kids got a kick out of eating a spiderweb pizza!

All you need is some pizza sauce and a plastic baggie with a small cut in the corner to pipe the design onto the pizza before you cook it. Bake as directed and enjoy!

While we waited for our pizzas to cook, I showed the boys how to create a fight scene between The Lizard and Spidey by scanning the pizza box and DVD box using the Web Slinger app. They thought it was the coolest thing ever. You can help Spidey by tapping the little Spider-Man icon on the screen as well.

When it was time to eat, I set up our pizzas and character cutouts. The kids of course went with Spiderman, but I had to give The Lizard's supreme pizza a try.

We enjoyed our pizzas together around the TV while we watched our awesome advance copy of The Amazing Spider-Man. I'm not sure who was more excited to watch it; My husband or the kids!

Even though the release date isn't until November 9th, you can pre-order your copy at Walmart and watch it early on Vudu Ultra Violet. Once it comes out, Walmart will mail you your hard copy. How cool is that?

Your idea to add the pizza sauce web on top is so cool! I couldn't get the app to work in the store, but it worked at home from the pizza box just fine. Glad your kids loved it!
