The OrganWise Guys In The House Kit (Giveaway!)

This giveaway is now closed. Congrats to commenter #4 April Ockerman!

For a while now I've been trying to teach my children to make healthier choices. It's one thing to only offer them healthy choices, but it's an entirely different ball game to arm them with the knowledge to make their own healthy choices when you're not around. They go to school, play dates, and relatives' houses, and I'm not always there to make decisions for them. When I heard about The OrganWise Guys In The House Kit, I knew it would be a helpful tool.

When our kit came, I opened it right away. I'm glad the kids weren't around, because there's a little bit of sneakiness involved. Inside your kit is a black plastic bag containing the plush OrganWise Guys prizes. Since they're meant to be a special surprise for completing each activity, you have to put them away before giving your child the kit.

The OrganWise Guys In the House! Kit is a healthy behavior tracking program that helps families in their quest to become “OrganWise” by gradually adding healthy habits to daily routines. Kids follow different OrganWise “Rules” for seven days while tracking their progress in the workbook. At the end of the week, they will report their success and then await their reward that will appear the next morning.

After reading the Getting Started book, Jackson chose to do the Kidney Brothers workbook for his first week. There are four to choose from; The Kidney Brothers, Madame Muscle, Hardy Heart, and Peri Stolic the intestine. The order in which they are completed doesn't matter.

Here is Jackson's video review of the Kidney Brothers book:

I absolutely loved it as well. Jackson is the one who is always trying to get his hands on sugary things, and it's hard to get him to understand how bad for him they really are. The OrganWise Guys kits makes it fun and interesting for him, and is so simple even a 3 year old can understand it. The only thing I would change, is maybe have the "house" made out of plastic or something a little sturdier. At his young age, he really liked playing with it along with the stuffed toys, and I had to tape it up a couple of times.

Would you like your very own OrganWise Guys In The House Kit? You can win one!

I have started by letting them help me out in the kitchen. Especially while I am juicing my fruits and veggies. They won't drink the juice, but they at least try out some of the fruit while I am doing it.

What a fun idea! We talk about eating real food, and we all exercise together.

I have always taught my kids healthy habits. I never bought sugary drinks, so they would drink water, and I encouraged them to eat a variety of veggies and fruits. I never bought much packaged food either.
