Big Fish Games - Jewel Legends Review and Giveaway

Ever since I can remember, I have enjoyed playing puzzle games. I've tried all different kinds; board games, pen and paper, handheld, video game consoles, and even on my phone - but my favorite has got to be computer games. There's something so very calming about sitting down and leisurely solving a challenge in my spare time. (Not that I have much of that.)

Now that school and preschool have begun I can steal a few moments of "me time." I've played a few games through Facebook, but what really bothers me about them is the amount of spam they generate. I've gone through my privacy settings to ensure a bunch of game updates aren't showing up in my friends' news feeds, and I take care not to personally send out game requests to people who don't play games. But somewhere in the back of my mind I am worrying that my friends are being bombarded on my behalf. The nice thing about Big Fish Games is that I don't have to worry about any of those things, because I'm not gaming through a social network. 

I was offered a free game to try out, and chose from a list of the most popular games on the Big Fish site. I was specifically drawn to the Match 3 Games, because of my secret addiction to Bejeweled Blitz on the iPhone. One great thing about the site is that you can try any game for free for an entire hour before purchasing it. Of course I had to give all the games a try before I settled on one.

I chose Jewel Legends: Tree of Life because I felt like it was the most relaxing. I am able to complete levels at my own pace to unlock more areas of the game and help build more structures for the game's characters. Some of the tiles in the game will be frozen, and it can be challenging to figure out how to match them, but I enjoy the challenge. The game is bright and colorful, the music is enjoyable, and it's an overall fun game to play.
