My Amazing Weekend At #Fitcation12

I can't believe it's been over a week since I got home from Fitcation 2012. It was such an amazing weekend, I was having a hard time trying to fit it all into one blog post. I kicked off the weekend by picking up two wonderful ladies in my van and heading to the hotel. But first we stopped for lunch, a treat at Pinkberry, and an obligatory celebrity sighting.

Danny Trejo!

The hotel rooms were amazing. Did I mention I had my very own room?! Well, I shared it with Morgan, but he hardly takes up any space. The hotel even had a crib set up in my room for him. How sweet! You best bet I took a bath one of those nights. I went as far as bringing my own LUSH products since I can't really take one at home.

I didn't want to leave.

Once Morgan and I were all settled in we headed over to @bookieboo's room for some mommy and baby playdate time. There was lots of baby-holding the whole weekend. I barely held my own baby, except when I needed to feed or change him.

Baby time.

Day one was pretty relaxing, but bright and early Friday morning we got our butts handed to us by Fit Body Boot Camp. All those lunges and squats - my quads were sore the ENTIRE weekend. It was definitely a workout you don't forget about. I thought about it every time I moved a muscle. Ouch. Afterwards we headed to Dole for a lovely breakfast surrounded by beautiful scenery, and then some product demonstrations. We spent most of the day learning and growing, and then had an amazing dinner at @bookieboo's house made entirely from @inspirerd's recipes.

Beautiful Dole breakfast.

After going to bed pretty early (10pm for me) I woke up for another workout. This time it was a super fun hula hooping workout provided by Hoopnotica. After getting cleaned up and some Dole shakers and yogurt for breakfast, we headed out for a bus tour of  Los Angeles. Even though I live here, it's sometimes fun being touristy. This time we didn't spot any celebrities. Afterwards we headed back up to Santa Monica for an amazing dinner and some belly dancing entertainment at Marrakesh Morrocan Restaurant.

Amazing Dinner!

I am so incredibly thankful to the sponsors and also Leah Segedie who made this event possible. Not only did I work out and learn about nutrition, I also created and renewed some lasting friendships with ladies all around the country. I love my Mamavation Sistas with all of my heart, and I absolutely treasure opportunities like this one. Thank you thank you thank you!

(More info on some of the sponsors in future posts.)

Fitcation was sponsored by Dole, Four Seasons Westlake Village, the California Health and Longevity Institute, Sip the Good Life, New Balance, Subway and Leading Lady Bras. These sponsors provided the attendees with lodging, meals, activities and product during the event. As an attendee, I was asked to give my honest opinion and all opinions are 100% my own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of these organizations.

What a great time we had. I can't wait until next year and I hope more of the girls can make it out. Generous sponsors this year so who knows what it will be like next year. Amazing! Miss you!!!!!

Wow! Hoopnotica and belly dancing both look so fun. Did you guys get a chance to belly dance, too or was that a "watch and enjoy" experience? I loved your post and thank you so much for taking the time to take great drool-worthy pics!!

Your baby is such a doll Angela! So tiny and such a trooper for being passed around to us all. I forgot to tell you I brought your Christmas Card for 2010 with me, lol. It was awesome to hang out with you again.

I adore your little old man baby and you are right - you rarely got a chance to hold him which I'm sure was an added perk to the weeekend to be able to have your arms free LOL! I was surprised at the airport when I saw April that she wasn't STILL holding him! I LOVED seeing you again as always! Can't wait to see you in DECEMBER!
