Having Fun With Play-Doh Play-Dates

Even with all the technology around them, the battery-powered toys and things that light up, there is one thing that kids always love playing with, Play-Doh. I remember vividly when I was little, my mom would not allow it in our house because it was too messy, or I was too messy, one or the other. I loved going over to my neighbor's house because her mom let her play with it, and didn't care if we were messy. I am definitely not like my mom, in that I don't mind the messes, and I love having our friends over for crafts and snacks as often as possible.

Play-doh recently launched a really cool site called Play-Doh Play-Dates. It's chock full of great ideas for Play-Doh projects, as well as crafts and snacks too. Everything has step-by-step instructions, making it super easy, even for younger kids.

For the month of October the theme is Haunted House, so of course we had to try out some of the fun projects. We started off simple and tackled a ghost. Next we moved on to the spiderweb. We even had fun decorating our Play-Doh cans with monsters! We set our monsters up in a scary Haunted House printable Then we topped off our play time with some Jack-o-lantern Oranges for a healthy and festive snack.

Be sure to try out some of Fresh Ideas" at your next play date. Next month's theme is "Art Class" and we can't wait!

Go Play-Doh! That's SUCH a great idea. I really wish they'd had that when I needed it for my kids!
