Winnie the Pooh in theaters this Friday!

Last night Mason, my five year old, and I were guests at an advance screening of Winnie the Pooh. It's been a long time since we've had a Mommy-son date, and an even longer time since he's been to the movie theater, so we jumped at the chance.

I've always loved the Winnie the Pooh books, and read them to my kids as well. Both of my children are most familiar with Pooh based on the ride at Disneyland, and of course meeting the characters in real life. They also have a couple of Pooh DVDs.

I actually hadn't seen any of the trailers prior to seeing the movie, so everything was a complete surprise to me! All in all, though I absolutely love it. It was like having your parent read a Winnie the Pooh story to you, but with the pages coming to life. There were so many funny moments for both kids and adults. Here's a cute little clip so you can see for yourself.

The movie wasn't too long, so even the younger kids were able to sit through it pretty well. I might have to go see it again with the 2 year old after it opens. So bring the whole family to the theater this weekend for some quality time with everyone's favorite stuffed bear.
