
6.6 pounds. That's how much weight I've gained since finishing up my second Mamavation campaign in May. The sad part is, this weight gain happened in the past couple of weeks mostly. After fitcation, and even after my 2 week vacation in Florida I was still doing okay. But it wasn't until I got home that the pounds started coming back fast. Maybe I was a little lazy. Maybe I had a few too many nights out with the girls trying to catch up with everyone. Whatever it was doesn't really matter. What matters is that it stops now before it gets any more out of hand.
Luckily for me, today is the very first day of the Gruntstyle Challenge. I'm going to do this challenge with a vengeance. Hopefully I'll be able to say "bye bye" to those 6.6 unwelcome pounds at the end of the two weeks. Or at least somewhere close to that.
Besides the Gruntstyle Challenge that is going to kick my butt hard, I will also be getting back into eating right. My fridge is full of veggies and I'm actually going to use them. I plan on actually tracking my food, and sticking as close to my eating plan as I can.
I also need to really buckle down and drink my water. I hate to admit it, but I have been drinking soda again. I'm a little embarrassed, but it's not going to get any better if I hide it. I had soda yesterday, even. No more, though. I am stocked with all kinds of yummy (unsweetened) teas to keep those cravings away. I need to stop relying on caffeine for my energy, and let diet and exercise do their job.
Tonight the two Mamavation Moms will be announced, and I will be a mentor. I can't mentor someone on healthy living if I'm not even doing it myself, now can I?

Oh, yes! I love the start of the campaign excitement. It is a great motivator for those of us who have been Mamavation Moms, the new moms and everyone in the community. Today I am re-pledging my steps, water, nutrition and exercise. I am here for you, too! Let me know if you ever want a nudge, an ear or a kick to the pants. (Lol) ;)
You'll be a great mentor! You have come a long way, mama, even with a little slip on the soda.
