Last night/this morning the Mamavation Mom finalists were announced. Leah decided to surprise everyone once again and gave us a total of 12 moms to choose from and vote for. With 21 applicants this time around, I know it must have been hard to narrow it down. Unfortunately I am not one of the finalists this time around. Last campaign I cried when I didn't see my name on the list. This time around I had no hard feelings at all. I am also an applicant for the LA Mom campaign, and the winner has yet to be announced. If I am not chosen, I have the Move it and Lose it Challenge again. I took third place last campaign, and I will work even harder if I am in the challenge again.
My week went well. Now that the Holidays are finally over, most people are finding it easier to get back into a routine. Here we have a bunch of birthdays to get through in the next couple of weeks, so it's still a little crazy. Saturday was the 3rd birthday of a close friend's daughter, and next Saturday we're celebrating Jackson's 2nd birthday (which was 12/29) and my brother-in-law's birthday (1/16) with a big party at our house. I'm working on collection some good party recipes that are also healthy, so if you have any, let me know!
I lost weight this week again! Last week I didn't post my actual weight, but it was 199. This week I worked really hard on making sure I was drinking water, moving, and eating healthier foods. I cheated on the weekend, but it didn't completely thwart my efforts, because I weighed in at 197.5. I lost 1.5 pounds again!
I plan on doing the same thing over the next week, except for maybe amping up my exercise efforts a little more. I have to start training for the 5K mud run in April! Lots of water, eating breakfast, and healthy meals. Those are the things I'm concentrating on in an effort to drill those good habits into my brain.
I hope everyone has a great week, and I'll see you at Mamavation TV!
