WW: The Fair!

While on my way to go see Harry Potter with my mother-in-law on Sunday afternoon, I got a phone call saying I won tickets to the OC fair and to see the B-52s that evening. We quickly turned around and went home so I could gather up the family. I love the fair, but seeing as we are moving in a couple of weeks and still haven't put a deposit down on a place, I'm not sure the fair would have been in our budget this year. Although we still had to pay for food and anything else we might want, I think we got off pretty easy.

First we headed to the petting zoo, but we got distracted by the elephants right next door to it:



See Mason and Daddy on the back? It was the first time riding and elephant for both of them. After the short lap around, we made it to the petting zoo. Those goats are pretty crafty, they know where the food is...



Right outside the petting zoo area, there was a guy selling these really cool bubble guns. He even let Mason try one out.



In the marketplace area, we tried on some sun glasses. Hubby and I both needed a pair, and how can you go wrong at 2 pairs for $10? Mason, modeling a lovely grey pair.



In the middle of the marketplace there were pig races. Our section was cheering for Yukon, the brown pig. He won!



Part of our ticket included a ride on the La Grande Wheel, a giant ferris wheel! Thank goodness, because ride tickets are expensive!! Mason and Daddy went on it, and Jackson and I watched from below. Note: Don't dress your child in a white shirt and then take them to the fair and feed them a giant hot dog with ketchup and mustard. The rest of your pictures will feature a lovely stained shirt.



We had so much fun, I can't wait to do it again next year!

I realized after we got home that I took zero pictures of Jackson that evening. What a bad mom! I need to get better at that.
