If you build it, she will blog

I had a few requests for pictures of us building a toy helicopter today. Would you be surprised if I told you that when we got there and I went to take a picture my camera was almost out of battery? Isn't that like Parenting 101? Charge camera battery before leaving house. Oh well. I got a few pictures for you guys.

Here we are, about to walk in to Lowe's. Mason did not like having those goggles on, which explains the upset look on his face. Every time you complete an activity you get a patch for your apron. He has four patches now, but I haven't put them on his apron yet. He hasn't noticed yet...

This project had quite a bit more pieces than I am used to.

The almost finished project.

There were stickers to decorate with. You could choose from "rescue helicopter" "new helicopter" or "weather helicopter." Mason, my action man, went for the rescue helicopter. Here he is flying it around.

And since I didn't get many pictures, here are two from past projects. I thought you might like to see how he sticks his tongue out when he's hammering. That is my favorite part.

Pirate Ship.

Practice Golf Hole.

Immediately after that we went to a different store to do a different craft with our friends. Then we played at a Del Taco play area with them. I am just throwing this post together during a short stop at home before we head over to another friend's house for some swimming and socializing. And I need to figure out what I'm doing for dinner soon. Hope you're having as much fun this weekend as we are!

How cool is that? I had no idea that Lowes did things like that. I wonder if it is just where you live or everywhere? I'll have to find out. My little guys would LOVE that!

(And I've done the same thing with the battery. More than once.)
