Country Bob's Sauce Review and Giveaway!

*THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED*

I've always been a fan of steak sauce. I put it on steak, burgers and pork chops mostly. Sometimes I use store-bought, sometimes I make my own sauce. Recently, I got an email from Country Bob's, asking if I'd like to try their all purpose sauce. I happily accepted the offer, and could not wait for it to get here.

The day my sauce arrived, I had nothing to eat it with. I scoured the fridge, but to no avail. So, I opened a bottle, stuck out my finger, poured a little on, and tasted it.

It was love at first taste.

I was eager for more, so that evening I grilled up some chicken, and smothered it with sauce. A few days later we had steak dinner at the in-laws' house, and I brought the bottle with me. I found any excuse to use that sauce. I put it on some broccoli, poured it over my rice, and I might have admitted to my friend that I kind of wanted to drink it.

It doesn't taste like any steak sauce I've ever tasted. It's a little sweeter. I think that sweetness helps the sauce complement more types of food.

I scoured the recipe section of Country Bob's for something I might like to try. There are several recipes on there for baked beans. To my dismay, they all use canned beans, and I desperately wanted to make some baked beans totally from scratch. So I devised my own recipe, and I now present it to you.

My Best Baked Beans (in the crock pot) featuring Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce

045

Ingredients:

* 1 pound dried beans (I used Great Northern)
* 1/4 cup brown sugar
* 1 cup maple syrup
* 1 tsp powdered mustard
* 2 tsp salt
* 1/2 tsp pepper
* 1/3 of a package of bacon, chopped up
* 1 onion, diced
* 1/4 cup ketchup
* 1/4 cup Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce

Preparation:
Soak beans overnight. Drain and rinse. Simmer beans covered with water on the stove for 20 minutes. Drain and add beans to crock pot with all of the other ingredients and enough water to cover beans. Cook on low for 10-12 hours or until beans are tender, add water if needed.

I hate pajama pants in public. Don't people care what they look like? How hard is it to slip on a pair of jeans and a shirt before going out?
